Faris is the co-founder [with his wife, Rosie] of the nomadic creative consultancy Genius Steals and the author of Paid Attention, a modern philosophy of advertising. Together they speak at events and train and consult with brands and agencies all over the world, with clients including Coca-Cola, Bauer Media, VMLY&R, OMD, Edelman, the 4As, the Wellcome Trust, the APG and many others. In between projects, they have travelled the world ceaselessly for more than five years, finding inspiration on their quest to make their life their life's work.

Previously, Faris was Chief Innovation Officer of MDC Partners, Chief Digital Officer of McCann Erickson NY, spent many years at groundbreaking integrated strategy agency Naked, and a few others as a management consultant. He co-founded and curates the NEW category at the London International Awards because he wants to help move the industry forward.
