Robert is Chief Strategy Officer at Hearst. He is responsible for the successful commercial direction of travel for the business in the UK, building on current revenue streams and looking to unlock new ones, working across all brands, platforms and products and services. Currently he is heavily involved in the strategy for each of the 23 Hearst brands, the roll out of a new commerce proposition, the bringing to life of the commercial proposition for advertisers, the building of a new fit for the future data platform and a series of new business development initiatives that the company is looking to launch this year.
Previous to Hearst Robert spent a year at the Telegraph Media Group, as Director of Advertising Revenue. Before this he was on the other side of the media fence working at CIA before helping to launch Manning Gottlieb OMD, where he subsequently worked for 25 years, the last 10 of which he was MD/CEO, helping to develop the agency into a highly respected, award winning, high growth business.
